Post 26 Best Girlfriend Ever

Last semester, one of my friends introduced me to the 3D printer at the DIG. I wanted to make my boyfriend a gift (he is very spoiled, ngl) and had a stroke of genius. He likes Pokémon. He likes chess. What if I made Pokémon chess pieces?? After printing the pieces, I hand-painted each character, as you can see in the photo. It was ridiculously fun. I might've skipped a class because of how obsessed I was with the project.

Post 9 But why?

To get outside of my comfort zone, I decided to attempt to animate a short video for today's blog post. I used 2D pencil and pretty much winged the entire thing (pun intended). I was inspired by a meme I saw on Instagram.  Despite the video only being a few seconds long, it took me a very long time to create it. I have a greater respect for animators now.
