Post 22 I want to go home

I made this on Pinterest during freshman year on a bus going back to Dallas from Austin. The bottom city is Dallas, the last place I want to be. Above that city is Austin, my home. At the very top is an ambiguous city. The woman reaches up because she is rising out of Dallas into a better place. Peonies cover Austin, representing my romanticized vision of coming back home. The ambiguous city is darker in color, blurrier, but still beautiful. It is the unknown, but it is somewhere better.

Post 9 But why?

To get outside of my comfort zone, I decided to attempt to animate a short video for today's blog post. I used 2D pencil and pretty much winged the entire thing (pun intended). I was inspired by a meme I saw on Instagram.  Despite the video only being a few seconds long, it took me a very long time to create it. I have a greater respect for animators now.
