Post 10 Layering

On the back of my accounting lecture notes, I tried to draw a realistic image of myself. I used a photo as a reference and had a lot of fun experimenting with shadows and highlights. Something I noticed was that it was easier to shade a section of the paper and then draw over it. By doing this, I was able to add layers because I had a base that I could modify instead of just the white paper.

While I'm snowed indoors,  I'm making a hat for my boyfriend. As you can see in the photo, I overestimated the size of his head. Post 9 But why?

To get outside of my comfort zone, I decided to attempt to animate a short video for today's blog post. I used 2D pencil and pretty much winged the entire thing (pun intended). I was inspired by a meme I saw on Instagram.  Despite the video only being a few seconds long, it took me a very long time to create it. I have a greater respect for animators now.
